MEET OUR FOUNDER

Amber lagway

Amber Lagway, an alumna of California State University, Dominguez Hills, holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Advertisement. She founded Purity Foundation as a beacon of hope during a challenging period in her life. After her beloved grandmother passed away, Amber found herself struggling to regain her footing and purpose. In her journey to find solace, she delved deep into the issues faced by the breast cancer community.

Through her research, Amber discovered that financial hardship is a common and significant burden for families dealing with a cancer diagnosis. Despite the millions of dollars raised by numerous organizations, funding often does not reach families in immediate need. Amber’s personal experience with her family's financial struggles during her grandmother’s illness highlighted this gap and inspired her to act.

The Purity Foundation was born out of a desire to provide tangible support for families facing similar challenges. By offering assistance with essential expenses such as rent, utilities, and transportation, the foundation aims to alleviate the financial stress that can overshadow the healing process. Named in honor of Amber's grandmother, Fa’asaveve Luafau, Purity Foundation embodies peace, joy, strength, and love—qualities that Amber hopes to extend to every family the nonprofit supports. Through this compassionate initiative, Amber seeks to empower others to focus on healing and finding peace during difficult times.
